The Department

The Consumer Products division handles a comprehensive range of products such as furniture, appliances, electronics, sports equipment, pets, funeral products, direct sales, power sports, marine and RV’s and more. The Marketing and Communications team is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing strategy in partnership with our merchant support and sales teams. – See more at:


The Position

  • Maintain the trade publications, industry events, industry association databases
  • Research upcoming industry specific events for attending, exhibiting, speaking or sponsoring opportunities
  • Conduct competitive research
  • Ensure that advertising and promotional plans are fully executed
  • Ensure utmost quality of any external marketing material
  • Keep the organization email marketing, social media, and Website updated
  • Order and ensure delivery of marketing materials to meet sales needs at industry and professional trade show/conferences
  • Coordinate with external supplier resources (freelancers, consultants, contractors) to design, produce and print sales aids and marketing materials
  • Research media coverage and industry trends
  • PR duties as required such as developing and maintaining our media list and writing press releases
  • Proofreading and editing as required

Success factors      

  • Secondary education in Marketing, Communications or equivalent
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Bilingual in English and French is a strong asset
  • Great interpersonal skills and customer focused
  • Familiar with Customer Relationship Management systems (Salesforce, Enterprise edition)
  • Planning and Organization
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail
